Hello there!  My name is Shelley and this is my pretty little place for all things creative, inspiring and fun!  I’m a 25 year old creative living in Lakewood, Ohio.  I love coffee, my brown boots and thrifty shops.  My ultimate goal is to become a shop owner of a store that carries curated treasures and my handcrafted jewelry line, Stitched & Wired.  On Songbird I share How To’s, Tips and Tricks, stories about my dream shop and plenty of design/fashion inspiration.  It’s my little nest of vintage, crafts and new beginnings.

I have a degree in fashion merchandising
I work for an event company
I listen to way too much music
I recently started my own jewelry business called Stitched & Wired
I enjoy taking photos, sewing, thrift shopping, vintage treasure hunts, habitat restore, biking and Cleveland summers
I have a cat named Millie. She is black and white
If I could spend time in any room of the house it would be the kitchen.  The best conversations happen there
I love sending friends and family hand written letters
I write a weekly post at the Libby Story blog called How To Tuesday
I dislike movies that are about aliens or ghosts, but I could watch zombie and vampire/werewolf movies over and over again
I’m a sucker for movie scores, good harmony and strings
I believe in the power of positive thinking
Stealing Beauty, Shop Girl, Elizabethtown, The Last Kiss, Spanglish, Garden State and The Door in the Floor are my top movie picks
I have a small habit of purchasing a coffee cup at every thrift store I go too
I was a competitive swimmer from the age of 8 til 18
I have one nephew, two sisters, two brother-in-laws, one mother and one father, numerous aunts and uncles, more cousins than I can count, and two wonderful grandparents.  We’re a happy bunch
